Laser hair removal

The laser hair removal exposes the hair to laser pulses. The light is absorbed by the melanin of the hair, this means it’s absorbed by the root of the hair and transformed into heat. Since this method is only effective during the growth process of the hair, laser therapy has to be repeated at least six times every 4 – 6 weeks. Currently there are different lasering systems for laser hair removal on the market, many of which now can prove a reduced speed in the hair-growth cycle. The disadvantages of this method are the high costs per treatment, the fact that it may be painful and that it is limited to dark hair on light skin.
